If I ever had to define the factors which affect an aniblogger’s way and frequency of posting, inspiration would undoubtedly be in the list. Inspiration is one of the trickiest elements that actuate a blogger’s body and mind to sit and carefully construct a post worth reading and, undeniably, one of utmost importance. Inspiration is like a surprise party; you always hope to get one but you never know when and how you’re gonna find it. In more intelligible words, it comes and goes on the spot. It is understandable, then, that you have to take advantage of your inspiration the moment it hits you and materialize it into comprehensive words and phrases. In short, inspiration ought to be followed by productivity in order for a blogger’s effort to have more chances of bearing fruit and, respectively, blog entries prove to be more well-received as products of substantial inspiration and, consequently, intense mental activity.
Having said that, I assume the majority of you have already conceived the tenor of inspiration on an aniblogger’s actions. Needless to say, everyone, whether they blog or not, should strive for discovering inspiration because inspiration is something that motivates us for most of our physical or mental doings. But focusing more on the literal side of it, inspiration is what drives most of us into cooking up posts every day.
But are all posts a result of sudden inspiration? Definitely not. Many of the aspects aniblogging builds upon do not require inspiration. Exempli gratia, presenting news from across the aniblogosphere, running down an upcoming season’s series list, reviewing an anime episode and much more do not make use and are not defined by the author’s inspiration and will to write about them regardless of whether, in most essential cases, it happens; this is just an outcome of blending everything with a pinch of personal syllogism.
The real question I am trying to answer here is, during the cases inspiration does matter, where one can find it and how it can be developed upon to bring forth productivity’s fullest potential. After all, productivity does have a quality which is mostly defined by the amount of inspiration that has been used in its making, no?
The sources of inspiration exist in abundance! A television program, a thoughtful phrase or a debate, a good book, lazing in the afternoon breeze, reminiscing persons and situations, a single word, melody or image, everything can more or less beget an endless stream of inspiration and set in motion the vehicle of deduction, the “train of thought”. What matters, though, is to be able to extract inspiration out of these sources. They way each person receives inspiration differs per individual and it is near impossible to even try and define a common constant for the process. Subsequently, what an aniblogger has to focus on is finding a way to accept his environment’s titillation as inspiration and not fret over where to find the thing.
As for the second segment of my initial question, developing upon the “typing board” once inspiration has been found is, once again, something that is completely up to the blogger. There are no established instructions for cultivating inspiration simply because inspiration can do more than one things. In our case, inspiration would be most efficient in order to consolidate and convey thoughts to readers but suggesting that this means solely deep-thought editorials and humongous walls of scientific vocabulary would just be a make believe of bloggers who snob finding enjoyment through simple words and small posts. Excessive use of the urban dictionary doesn’t help appeal to those mofo’s, yo!
As for TL;DR version, if you’re looking for inspiration just look around you!
“As for TL;DR version, if you’re looking for inspiration just look around you!”
Ok, You got me there.
However, I will surely read whole post after I do something with my insomnia, anxiety, dead motivation. I mean, today or tomorrow.. It’s always today or tomorrow. It’s almost sad that we have to function as wholesome beings, not being able to choose which aspects of our personality should operate at one moment..
Nevermind. Although it’s arrogant of me to post a comment of a post I have yet to read, I just thought I might share my means while I am still vaguely lucid. My inspirations mostly come from the clash of two moments: when I try to percieve the world (or book, movie, music, whatever) as is, real, depersonified, ambivalent, objective.. and when I imagine how diversely the same world might be percieved by completely different people in different contexts: me, the young clerk, mailman, pupil, You, Eri. There’s no way I might know all the context, situation, the person.. but that’s the genesis of my inspiration. My mind kicks in and tries to fill the void with as many effective thoughts as possible, using shortcuts, imagination, music, words and visions. Lastly, I try to verify whether it’s not purely something that I’ve already known or experienced and now I’m just recalling.
This might be just rumblings of a lunatic. I shall come
back and reply to your post properly.
cheers

Hmmm, I totally get what you mean. Although this kinda derives from my take on inspiration above I can definitely connect with your ideas. Daydreaming is a perfect way to find and inspiration and have fun at the same time. It’s just incredible seeing what one’s imagination can lead to!
I will be waiting for your reply~
I like this line:
“Subsequently, what an aniblogger has to focus on is finding a way to accept his environment’s titillation as inspiration and not fret over where to find the thing.”
A lot of my inspiration is found in everyday life. In the middle of an activity, or while thinking back on past experiences, I often think of links to anime.
That said, experience plays a major role in this factor. A high school kid may not have enough experiences to call upon frequently in blogging; likewise, a 40-year-old world traveler may have an abundance of things to talk about.

It’s a fact that inspiration often hits when you’re not expecting it. Inspiration is overall fascinating; You never know what you gonna stumble upon by following it.
However, I’ll have to point out that, in my opinion, young minds run more wild with imagination and even if they lack in experience they make up with ideas, whereas older thinkers, while they can develop more (in both quality and quantity) on a single subject, do not often get hit with innovative ideas. Inspiration may also be more difficult for them to find because, being the experienced entities they are, their minds are often overwhelmed with more worries than hopes. I have to admit, though, all world travelers, regardless of age, prove to be quite the imaginative folks!
Yep, its amazing how inspiration for posts can be found all around. As animebloggers, anything to do with Japanese subculture can possibly be a topic for writing about. In fact, I don’t think it’d be overboard to say that the anime bloggers are driven by and gain inspiration from each other, don’t you think? :)

Of course it wouldn’t be overboard. Especially when this has happened between us
Are you suffering from lack of inspiration? Do you want to jumpstart your ailing blogging career without all the complicated procedures of jumpstarting your ailing blogging career? Do you strive to sound particularly intelligent with esoteric words such as ‘actuate’, ‘exempli gratia’, and ‘beget’?
Well, post for O-NEW’s Not an animE Weblog TODAY and receive free whatever-I-give-people-who-blog-for-O-News! Yes, I’m desperate.
P.S. On the subject of this post: not only posts need inspiration. Comments need inspiration, too! Sometimes, I post one comment every ten minutes, typing one word every ten seconds. Other times, I type up tl;dr comments like this that nobody wants to read in the space of five. All about getting in the gear! Inspiration’s a tough beast to catch, but I find that worrying about it won’t help; inspiration comes to you naturally, all you need to be proficient at is grabbing it when you can. Which I am quite proficient at. If you ever meet me in real life, you’ll find that my left hand is completely blue from ink left over from decades of writing on my hand.
P.P.S. (It’s not actually blue. That was a hyperbole.)
